How to apply?

The EPOS Summer School is designed as an immersive experience: for this reason, only a limited number of participants are selected each year to ensure the best learning experience, with highly interactive sessions and dedicated tutoring. Access to the school is granted through a competitive procedure, based on your CV and the scientific use case(s) you propose.

  • Apply by completing the online form, which will open at the beginning of 2026. Make sure you describe your scientific use case and you let us know why you would like to attend the school.

  • Participation is free of charge. Travel and accommodation costs should be covered by your organisation. In case you do not have a travel budget, you can apply for an EPOS ON Project travel grant when you fill the application form. Note that only a limited number of travel grants are available.

  • The EPOS Summer School programme committee will review the applications and prioritise them on the basis of the relevance and quality of the proposed scientific use cases. Gender balance, geographical provenance and representation of different backgrounds will also be a factor in the prioritisation.

  • All applicants will be notified of the result of their application

Prerequisites

No previous knowledge of the subject is required. Basics of computer programming would be an advantage.
Applicants should propose an inter- or trans-disciplinary Use Case /Scientific question. Use cases don't necessarily have to be complete, as one of the objectives of the school is to help develop (some of) the participants’ Use Cases.

EPOS is firmly dedicated to advancing diversity, equality and inclusion in every training opportunity we offer. We invite registrations from individuals of diverse ethnicities, cultural and religious backgrounds, genders, sexual orientations, and at all stages of their careers.

The EPOS Summer School 2026 is organised in the framework of the EPOS ON Project, funded in the Horizon Europe programme under Grant Agreement 101131592
